More and more recently I find that my browsing habits are determined by my twitter/delicious friends, my rss/twitter groups. I have not touched google for a while. I read a number of blogs either by people I 'really' know or ones that they would find of interest suggested to me and you know I also love sharing what I find, I tag it , I share it on FB I @someone on twitter I for: on delicious.
However I don't often comment on these pieces or tweet a thank you and for the sharer I think the satisfaction is normally in seeing the outcome or knowing the person has gained from your sharing. However a lot of the time I never know if my links or tweets have just fallen into the mass, either not directed enough, under the mountain of other @'s for the day or it just so happens delicious was not checked that day and your share is under a number of mountains.
I religiously go through my tweets etc, marking them as read a lot like email, creating favourites, smart folders etc. But I am starting to feel the swamp that has become my email inbox now spreading like wildfire to my web 2.0 services, and I try and keep them trim. Maybe Google Wave will answer a lot for me, I think(hope) it might. But hey I recall once it must have been over 6 months after a for: I sent and a trip to the UK by my friend that in a real rendezvous in a pub only then did he tell me he had purchased the piece of software I recommended, I smiled and thought glad I shared. So for all those new media friends around the globe that share direct with me, I do read, digest and enjoy every moment thanks.
