I have decided with the upgrade and purchase of Expression Engine 2.0 I want to revamp and redesign my site. I have set up a Google Wave with a few friends to share and collaborate ideas, unfortunately I cannot share the wave on this blog unless you have a wave account so seems pretty pointless. I want to attempt to document the process as an aid to the process and as an educational tool. I would also like to get input from other sources via comments if possible.

I was tweeted this article in which a friend suggested this was a good counter argument against socialism via the Internet 'revolution', at least that's what I thought, not so sure now however many times the question arises that the Internet is not actually changing anything its just another new media, or a 'amateur' outfit.
I fully believe that the Internet is making global change and that the more producers/authors out there the better, whether they be 'amateur' or professional.

More and more recently I find that my browsing habits are determined by my twitter/delicious friends, my rss/twitter groups. I have not touched google for a while. I read a number of blogs either by people I 'really' know or ones that they would find of interest suggested to me and you know I also love sharing what I find, I tag it , I share it on FB I @someone on twitter I for: on delicious.

I have promised to talk about production whilst in production in the past and have seen a surge in this activity elsewhere so here I'm going to talk about my new film due for completion in Sept 2009 (just about fits my 3 months production time frame). So firstly here is a rather good example of an already great production blog An Eyeful of Sound which talks about the production of this new film directed by Samantha Moore (who taught me animation a while back now).

So I finally spend some time redesigning adamprocter.org and I thought it was worth talking about the set up and layout. The only set goals was to ensure web standards compliance and that due to the less frequent nature of the articles I post to the site, I wanted some focus on my more frequent updates from delicious (links) , twitter (microblog) and other sites of interest that the front page was worth visiting even if a new article by myself was not yet posted. I also wanted to ensure I could pick the front articles and not rely on the 'blog' approach of date ordered articles.

Take a look the Excellent Lawrence Lessig 'Final Free Culture' Lecture at Stanford University in Jan 2008, published on opensourcecinema.org. Here Lawrence Lessig gives the story behind the creation of creative commons, outlines some basic history on copyright law and grass roots communities. He also provides some rather fun examples of mash-ups, the looniness of the corporations in trying to exert their copyright and talks about his new idea for changing congress. Anyone with an interest in copyright, its potential damaging effect or those that just wanna see some crazy mash-ups.

What an excellent interview with Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), although my question got minus 1 digg I believe Trent pretty much answered everything I wanted to know anyway. Below is a version streaming from adamprocter.org (keeps site W3C compliant, darn embed tag), otherwise check it out straight from digg and more downloads options are available here.
